Each year he pursues advanced courses, attends peer study groups and participates in seminars to ensure a high level of success. However, his work with Dr. John Kois has provided him with the most comprehensive approach to successful dentistry.
The Creating Restorative Excellence Program with Dr. John Kois is comprehensive, and enables Dr. Veraghen to enhance and expand both his knowledge and skills in restorative dentistry. He can perform predictable, controlled and cost effective restorative dentistry at the highest level. The courses include working with life-like implants to proper smile design for life-long results.
Dr. Veraghen, when not at the office, is busy with other community related activities. Serving at his church, he has participated in youth ministry along with numerous mission trips to poor countries providing dental services to under-served populations. Recently he visited the Dominican Republic with 300 other medical missionaries, who provided much needed medical/dental care in 6 major cities. Dr. Veraghen has been to Mexico several times, along with visits to Egypt, Haiti, and Honduras. Below is a short video on one of his trips to Haiti.
On a more local level he participated in a mobile clinic known as “Christina’s Smile” that follows the PGA tournament around the country, focusing on providing dental care to children in need, near the location of the tournament.
Dr. Veraghen became a member of the Kiwanis Club of Dearborn Outer Drive as a result of his participation with Christina’s Smile, and has been a member for the last 27 years. The Kiwanis Club does a lot of community service in the city of Dearborn, helping seniors, as well as youngsters, by running Safety Town, Senior Bingo, Special Olympics Bowling Tournament, Boy Scouts, Dictionary Project, the list goes on.
